My Reflection on meeting this outcome
Artifact 1 – Week 1 Assignment for MGMT 510 Financial Accounting: This course really opened my eyes and taught me how to look at financial statements and how to study them to get the answers to the questions that were needed. As you can see in the attached assignment I was able to score all the points possible as I was able to understand the question and I was able to look at the statements and information to come up with the correct answer. Through this course I have been able to understand how important it is to be able to understand financial statements and what all goes in to them from a company. It is important to make sure that information is correction. With this assignment I was able to analyze and report the information needed to answer the questions.
Artifact 2 – Family Service & Guidance the Non-Profit: Through this course we started to get our understanding of all of the different types of companies there is to complete accounting work. One of the more difficult ones to understand would have to be the non-profit area. This area is so hard to understand because there are so many rules that non-profit companies have to follow. There are certain funding rules that they must follow and there is also a certain amount of money they can end the year with. If these rules are not followed them they could lose their non-profit status.
Artifact 3 – Kansas Children’s Service League: This paper was completed through the Government and Not For Profit Accounting Theory and Application class. In this class we really got into the functions and aspects of the non-profit and governmental accounting world. After this class was completed we had a much better understanding of everything that goes into accounting for non-profit and governmental agencies. This paper demonstrates the knowledge that I gained from this class about the non-profit agencies I know in the Topeka area and ones that I have worked for in the past.

My Future Learning Goals related to this outcome
My future learning goals for this outcome are simple. I want to be able to use the
knowledge that I have learned from these classes to further my career in accounting. Since my future goal is to become a CPA I must have an understanding of all of the different aspects of all the difference companies that I could be employed by. I know that my family will not retire in Topeka Kansas we would like to be able to move to an area we would like to retire in and with the knowledge I have received from these classes I will be able to apply the knowledge I have gained to different areas within the accounting field and be able to get a job pretty much anywhere we decide to move to.
